Privacy Policy

The short version

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read — and only if you say yes. Until you accept the consent banner, nothing is requested from Google, no analytics cookie is set, and nothing about your visit is sent to Google or to any other analytics service. We run no advertising, no social media pixels, and no cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share personal information.

There is no contact form and no account to create — if you want to reach us, you email us directly, and we only ever hold what you choose to send.

Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what may be stored in your browser and when. You can change your answer at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page.

Who we are

This policy applies to aerosens.com and is issued by AEROSENS, Inc., 7120 SW 47th St, Miami, FL 33155, United States. For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact info@aerosens.com. Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing, AEROSENS, Inc. is the controller.

Information we collect

We collect very little, and the only part that involves tracking technology is switched off unless you turn it on.

• Server and security logs. Our hosting and CDN provider records standard technical data for every request — IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type, and referring page. These logs exist to serve the site, keep it available, and mitigate abuse.
• Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records your visit — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address (typically city or region — never a street address), device and browser type, referring site, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a first-party cookie that lets us tell a returning visit from a new one. It does not tell us your name, and we make no attempt to connect it to you. If you decline, none of this is collected.
• What you send us directly. If you email us, we receive whatever you include — typically your name, employer, contact details, and the substance of your enquiry.

We do not collect information through forms, accounts, newsletters, advertising networks, or social media pixels, because this website uses none of those.

Third-party services

Three third parties are involved in delivering this site. Each is limited to what is described here.

• Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. Requests pass through Cloudflare's network, and it processes technical request data on our behalf for delivery, availability, and security.
• Google Analytics measures site usage, only after you accept. We load it with Google's advertising features deliberately switched off — Google Signals and ad personalization are both disabled — so your visit is not built into advertising audiences or matched to you across devices. Google acts as our processor for this measurement and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• YouTube hosts our product videos. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play — the video posters on this site are static placeholders, and playback uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

Separately from the website itself, our email and IT service providers process correspondence you send us, in the ordinary course of hosting our mailboxes. They act on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.

How we use information

We use the little we hold to operate and secure the website, to understand in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it, and to respond to enquiries you send us and continue that correspondence. We do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it to build profiles or for automated decision-making.

Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for analytics cookies and the measurement that follows from them, given by pressing Accept on the banner — and for embedded video, given by pressing play. You can withdraw consent at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, as easily as you gave it, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of what came before.
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure and available website, and in responding to enquiries directed to us.

Retention

Technical logs are kept by our hosting and CDN provider for a short, fixed period — long enough to investigate an outage or an attack, after which they are overwritten. Analytics data is retained by Google for the period configured on our Google Analytics property, which is never longer than 14 months from your last visit; after that Google automatically deletes the visit-level data, though aggregate report totals remain. The analytics cookie on your device expires 2 years after your last visit, or immediately if you withdraw consent. Correspondence you send us is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to maintain a record of our business relationship, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, request a copy in portable form, or withdraw consent you previously gave. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email info@aerosens.com. We will ask for enough information to confirm who you are before we act, and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, this section describes your rights and how we handle the categories of personal information the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, recognises.

What we collect, and why. In the past twelve months we have collected two categories: identifiers (IP address, and the randomly generated analytics identifier, if you consented to analytics) and internet or other electronic network activity (pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type). If you email us, we also hold the identifiers and professional information you choose to send. We collect this directly from your device as you use the site, or directly from you by email. We use it to deliver and secure the site, to measure usage in aggregate, and to answer you.

We do not sell or share your personal information, as the CCPA and CPRA define "sell" and "share" — we exchange it for no money or other value, and we disclose it for no cross-context behavioural advertising. Google's advertising features are disabled on our analytics property specifically so that the measurement described above cannot become advertising data. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past twelve months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information.

Disclosure for a business purpose. In the past twelve months we have disclosed both categories to our service providers for a business purpose — our hosting and CDN provider, our email and IT providers, and, where you consented, our analytics provider — under contracts that restrict them to performing that service and forbid using the information for their own purposes.

Your rights. You may request to know what we have collected about you and to receive a copy of it, to have it deleted, and to have inaccurate information corrected. You may direct us not to sell or share your personal information — though as stated, we do neither — and you may not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Global Privacy Control. We honour the GPC browser signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out: analytics stays off and we do not show you the consent banner at all. If you had accepted analytics earlier and then switched the signal on, the signal wins — it is the more recent statement of what you want — and analytics is turned back off. You can still turn analytics on deliberately from Cookie settings in the footer, and a choice you make while the signal is active is treated as exactly that: your deliberate decision, which we then leave alone.

How to exercise these rights. Email info@aerosens.com, or write to AEROSENS, Inc., 7120 SW 47th St, Miami, FL 33155, United States. Because we hold no account for you, we will ask for enough information to match your request to the data we actually have, and we will not use what you send for anything else. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written proof of authorisation.

One honest limit: analytics data is not linked to your name, so we usually cannot connect it to a request. If your concern is the analytics record specifically, the most effective step is to withdraw consent from Cookie settings, which deletes the cookie that ties your visits together. If you want the data already collected removed sooner than the retention period above, email us the value of your _ga cookie and we can ask Google to delete that record.

International transfers

AEROSENS is based in the United States, and the providers described above operate global infrastructure. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and potentially other countries where those providers operate. Where you have consented to analytics, that data is transferred to Google in the United States; Google offers the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare likewise offers the Standard Contractual Clauses and is certified under the same framework. If you would rather your data were not transferred, decline analytics — nothing is sent.

Children

This website addresses commercial aviation and defense organizations. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle personal information will be described here.
