About
From a Miami startup to a dual-use aviation and defense technology company
Founding story
CEO Maria Esther Martinez holds a telecommunications engineering degree from the University of Vigo, Spain. She worked at Airbus in France, then moved to Dubai as a radio systems lead engineer at Alcatel on the Dubai Airport expansion, and later rose to COO at Dubai RFID startup TagStone before moving to Miami to found AEROSENS.
She co-founded the company with Rafael Alonso, retired president of Airbus Latin America & Caribbean. The company's earliest product concept was internally known as "Cabin Management System 2000," the predecessor to today's AeroCMS.
